Features

🧺

One-Click Stacking

Click one button on the inventory screen and every configured item stacks straight into any empty cask within range. No more opening each cask by hand.

🎯

Configurable Radius & Items

Set how many tiles around you to search (10 by default) and which items count — wine and cheese out of the box, but you can list anything you like.

🍷

Single-Item Placement

Holding a single item on your cursor and clicking the button places just that item into a nearby cask instead of stacking your whole configured list.

💎

Iridium Protection

Iridium-quality items are automatically skipped, so your best-quality goods stay in your inventory instead of getting aged by accident.

Why Stack To Nearby Casks?

Cellar Chores, Solved

Big wine and cheese cellars mean dozens of casks. This mod turns "open every cask one by one" into a single click.

Zero Learning Curve

Install and go. No hotkeys to memorise, no menus to open — just click the inventory button whenever you want to top up your casks.

Flexible Configuration

Not just wine and cheese — add any item name to itemsToStack and tune the search radius to match your cellar layout.

Smart by Default

Only empty casks are filled and Iridium-quality items are skipped automatically, so the mod never wastes your best goods.

About Stack To Nearby Casks

Aging wine and cheese in Stardew Valley means clicking into every single cask, one at a time, whenever you want to top them up. On a farm with a large cellar that turns into a tedious chore every few in-game days. Stack To Nearby Casks fixes this by adding a button to your inventory screen: click it and every configured item (wine and cheese by default, non-Iridium quality) gets placed into any empty cask within a configurable radius around you. Want more control? Hold a single item on your cursor and click the button to place just that item instead. It's a small change with a big quality-of-life impact for anyone running a serious cellar.

How to Install

Stack To Nearby Casks requires SMAPI — the Stardew Valley Modding API. Install SMAPI first, then download the mod from Nexus Mods (or the GitHub repo) and unzip it into your Stardew Valley/Mods directory. Launch the game through SMAPI — a config.json is generated automatically on first run with a default radius of 10 tiles and itemsToStack set to ["wine", "cheese"].
